Prayers needed for my dad!UPDATE 11-6-09 « Thread Started on Oct 21, 2009, 8:21pm » Hi, everyone.My dad is in need of prayers. He fell and hurt his leg really bad and it has set up a staph infection in it.The doctor said that he is in real danger of loosing his leg. I am worried about him. So any prayers you could say for him will be greatly appreciated. Also I need for you to say prayers for my brother in laws nephew, he has the swine flu and he has ashtma and he is very sick. Although he is not my nephew he still calls me Aunt Shae Shae just like my niece does,so I guess you could say he is my "unofficial" nephew. They are putting him in the hospital because he is so sick, so please say some prayers for him. His name is Landon. Gosh, he must be awfully sick to be put in the hospital. Goodness, you have a lot going on. Thank you for telling us so we can say prayers. Please update us when you can. It's so good to see you, though I wish things were not as worrisome for you. Now for an update they have released Landon from the hospital, so things are some better. As for my dad his leg looks really bad, he goes back to the doctor tomorrow to see how it is doing, but I be honest it looks bad. He is on antibiotics and he has to have medication but on his leg and have it bandaged once a day. But hopefully he will get a good report tomorrow.I will update after he sees the doctor. Update ! « Reply #6 on Oct 26, 2009, 11:54am » Thank you Barbara and everyone else, I knew I could count on all my wonderful friends. Now for an update my dad's leg according to the doctor is 10 to 15 percent better, but he said that it could go either way. He also said it would be weeks before my dad recovered completely. We just take it one day at a time, and continue to pray and have faith that he will get better. Now as for Landon I have a little bad news he is being put in the hospital today because he has been vomiting so much that he is dehydrated, so please continue to pray for the little guy. Prayers needed for my dad! Update! « Reply #9 on Oct 29, 2009, 9:31pm » Update: Dad is being sent to a surgeon because our family doctor feels that he might require a skin graft on his leg. The infection is some better but definetly still there. Thank you all so much for the prayers, I will never be able to tell you how much.And please keep the prayers coming. They told him that the staph infection had healed. Yeah! However when he hurt his leg it tore all of the meat from the bone and this has got to heal which could take a while. He also told dad that he could go outside and work if he would come to the house every few hours and put his leg up. And he has to go back in three weeks.So the news is better that we expected but he still has a way to go. So please keep them prayers coming. As for Landon he is better! Thank God. Your poor Dad, he's had quite a time of it. But it's really good to hear his staph infection has cleared....I'll yay right along with you! Great news about Landon too! Keep us posted. My granddaughter is very sick with H1N1 now...been running a temp of 104.5 even with motrin...her Mom now rotates between motrin and children's tylenol and it seems to keep it down to 102. This flu is really a bad bug. Prayers we all stay healthy.
